Another machine brought out from the dark

The AT Pro-luminator has become a hit and a great solution for the AT series of detectors that have no backlit display.
So I drug out my trusty T2 that also lacks control panel illumination and studied the control box looking for a way to mount the same type of flexible flashlight on it. I came up with a unique bracket that snaps in place and is very secure.
I will be refining the design to look better. Keep your eye out for this in the detectingdoodad store. It will be the same low price ($14) and include the light, battery and bracket in your choice of 16 different colors.

This machine is pimped out with the forelight setup to read the screen in the dark and the target illuminating tactical flashlight mounted on a special bracket which allows you to use the GoPro and the lighting system at the same time.

Backlit displays are nice. What if your machine doesn't have one?

I designed up a solution for you At Pro and AT Gold users out there.
This and the coil illuminating Tactical flash light are going up on my web store very soon.
Keep checking back, because when I release these they will be heavily discounted for the first week as an introductory offer.

Detector Mounted Tactical Flashlight

I have been getting many requests for a product to mount a flash light to the metal detector shaft.
Many people hunt the beach in the evening, and I find myself needing a flashlight as I hunt deeper into the evening in an attempt to escape the extreme heat we are having.

There are plenty of cheap shaft adapters for cheap flashlights. but those do not give the adjustability needed.
They normally can twist in one axis only. For detecting, we need to be able to point the light where ever it is needed.
For instance, you may need the flash light pointing to the center of the coil, ahead of the coil, or angled to the side to illuminate the target area you dig.
I find headlamps annoying as they flop around and send the light beam bouncing around.

I already make camera mounts for virtually every machine regardless of shaft configuration.
Why not utilize the camera mount. Mount a camera or smart phone to it during the day to video, unscrew it at night and screw on a high quality plash light....hmmm... I've never seen a tripod mountable flash light. So I invented it.

Here is a video that covers this idea from conception, design, 3d printing, and testing it out.

I will be offering good deals on bundled camera mounts with flash lights and or phone cradles or Gopro frames. Stay tuned.
